No more entries came, so we'll go ahead and rotate the two deviations entered (along with one of my own) as the featured deviation.

Well, we've only gotten two entries for the contest for featured deviation. We'll go ahead and run the contest an extra week, and if no other submissions come in, we'll just go ahead and rotate the two entered deviations in the spot of featured deviation (one week at a time) if that's ok with anyone. (Please comment if you don't like this idea)!

Hi everyone! We've been without a featured deviation too long. So we're going to have a contest for the slot of featured deviation.

Starts- 02/23/07
Ends- 03/09/07

How to enter-

Members can send a note titled 'contest submission' that contains the link to the deviation you'd like to submit for the contest. The piece can be a new piece or a piece that you've already submitted to the club. There's no specific theme or anything- but of course, the piece should be either themed old-school-anime or be fanart for a series made in 1992 or earlier

Each member can submit a one or two pics (one preferred though)

OK! Due to feedback, we've changed the definition of old-school-anime to 'anime made before 1993. So series made in the early 90's are fair game now.

Hi! Sorry for being a lazy manager... But I was just wondering- alot of members have wanted to submit fanart of anime made after 1990 which I've had to turn down. So I wanted to know- would you guys like to make the definiton for old-school-anime 'anime made before 1995?' If you have an opinion about this, please comment! And based on the feedback we'll decide whether to change it or not.

I've decided for fanart submitted, I'm gonna include the OAV/series title and the date it was released/run. (Because I'm a nerd!) So if anyone sees some incorrect dates or anything, please tell me!

Well, no news really. But I just found out clubs aren't supposed to have any favs- whatsoever. So I'm slowly gonna delete them. (Sorry to everyone that had favs!) But also to the members- please, please, please submit something! (Even if it's only vaguely applicable).

How to join
Just send a note entitled 'joining' and we'll add you right away. Be sure to also watch the club so you can see new submissions and be able to get club updates. (The club will watch you back). Also, maybe putting a link to the club in your journal might be nice? (Not necessary though).

Submissions
For members, of course. If you'd like to submit a pic, just send a note titled 'submission' with a link to the picture and we'll put it up under the club account.

Guidelines
The club recognizes 'old school anime' as being made before 1993, or production of the series starting before 1993. However, anime that's been remade in recent years (such as Captain Harlock, Bubblegum Crisis, Astro Boy, etc) will be recognized as well. Also, pieces that aren't fanart, but that are themed or inspired by old-school-anime style will also be accepted.
